Disappointed with non-presence
posted 5 years ago
Since I love helping and visiting the dogs who are in the care of the pound in Appomattox, I am really sorry that I don't see anyone from the AWAG group there deworming puppies or taking photos of the dogs for later placement.
Pros: Match Appomattox pound dogs up to Pets for Pens programs; work with local citizens toward spays and neuters
Cons: Rarely are they present at the pound facility

Wags to AWAG
posted 5 years ago
AWAG used to do much more with fostering animals, but with little in the way of outside financial support had to draw back. Their focus now is on spay/neuter, which is a great long-term idea. Appomattox County still has a way to go when it comes to educating the public about that.
Pros: a few people accomplished a lot
Cons: no support from the county
