Home Alone Feline Rescue

After visiting shelters and adoption events, I found this rescue through Petfinder. These are a truly dedicated group of volunteers. Their director, Jill, is always available to answer my questions or direct me even after I adopted my two beautiful cats. The foster homes are so caring, it's like an extended family! I can't say enough about the efforts of these people to not only save cat lives, but also ensure that the cat and family are the right fit, and cats are placed in forever homes. From nutritious food to advice about introducing a new pet, lists of poisonous plants and household dangers, and you name it, if these people don't know it they'll find out. I highly recommend Home Alone Felines (based in No. VA).

Home alone feline rescue is a waste of time. After completing all their prerequisite adoption forms and information requests... after multiple e-mail exchanges and several phone conversations... after telling us ‘we see no problem with your adoption’... and then waiting a couple weeks for the cat to be spayed in order to schedule a visit, we then received an email telling us we were not acceptable for adopting the kitty. We live in a newer single family home in an active adult 55+ year old gated community. We are retired and able to provide almost unlimited time and resources for the care and well-being of the kitty. We were told “Sorry..but Violet has found a home locally. She is much too young and active of a cat to be placed with a senior”. Evidently we were just too old and not good enough for them. Don’t waste your time with these people.
