Alley Cat Allies

This is one of those groups that I am so terribly grateful for. They are out there every day working hard for feral cats when they are up against so much. It seems like there are people who would rather just kill the ferals when they have just as much right to be walking the streets as we do. T-N-R is the way to go.

Some of their wonderful members gave a talk at my shelter about how to help feral cats in my neighborhood and it really opened up my eyes.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Alley Cat Allies.

Pros: Amazing people...

Cons: Absolutely none...

This is a terrific organization with a lot of useful information for helping feral cats. They promote the TNR approach (trap, neuter, release) and include very helpful information on things like building shelters, socializing kittens, etc. They also have local branches and lots of volunteer opportunities.

Pros: Very helpful organization, lots of useful information.

Cons: They can always use more resources.
