Two thumbs up for T.A.R.A!

posted 5 years ago

My husband and I have used T.A.R.A to spay/neuter stray cats, as well as our own cats. Because they travel around Orange and Sullivan counties, you can conveniently pick a day when they are close to where you live to bring your cat for services. They spay/neuter ferals AND pets at a low cost ($60), plus a free rabies shot. They also clip nails and clean ears for free. You can get additional services such as distemper shots, ear mite & flea treatment, de-wormer, etc. for as little as $5 to $10 more. You can also borrow "Have-a-Heart" traps from T.A.R.A. They genuinely care for cats and have brochures that educate the public on over-population and how the answer is "trap/neuter/release" -NOT euthanize! Someone will always answer their phone, so give them a call and make a donation! TWO THUMBS UP!

Pros: low cost, convenient locations, knowledgable staff, genuine concern for welfare of cats

Cons: none

Low Cost Feline Spay/Neuter Mobile Clinic

posted 5 years ago

My husband & I recently completed our first "trap/neuter/release" of a feral cat who we have been feeding for the past several months. We heard about the T.A.R.A. van, which is a mobile RV that travels to various locations around Orange and Sullivan counties and performs low cost spay/neuter services for felines. We had many questions about the whole process from the trapping phase to the releasing phase. The staff at T.A.R.A. was nothing but patient, kind and helpful with the answers we needed. Even after we picked up our cat, Finn, we had several questions the next day and T.A.R.A. was there to provide the answers. We believe that T.A.R.A is a crucial part to helping bring and end to the over-population of stray/feral cats and we would recommend their services to anyone. Please donate!!!

Pros: Convenient, low-cost, extremely helpful and informative

Cons: None
