Catskill Animal Sanctuary

All my pets are rescue pets. I have recently moved to NY from the UK along with 2 cats and 3 bunnies. I adopted a special needs bunny from our new vet, who was in fact recommended to us by CAS. When we were looking for a buddy for our bun we turned to CAS who helped us find the perfect match for him. We have now adopted two special needs ducks from them whom we will be bringing home in the spring, and hope to adopt a couple of goats from them too in the near future. I was a relatively new vegetarian before knowing about CAS - and Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary too - but, seeing first hand the incredible bonds between human and farm animal, and across farm animal species too, I have as a result eliminated dairy from my diet too.

I have been helping out at CAS for many years basically since they started out and have quite a few animals from Kathy that were causing trouble at the sanctuary. She is a great person with a huge heart if you get a chance stop in and visit Rambo the sheep he was originally at my farm but we traded because he was to protective of his herd. Now he is the spokes sheep for CAS.

Pros: Friendly staff, great care, great facility
