YTNR is a wonderful rescue organization

posted 7 years ago

Hello! My Yorkie, Jilli Dog was a stray rescue, and Chihuahua, Spidey, was rescued from folks who couldn't take care of him, due to schedules, which brings the whole idea close to my heart. Jilli is the Goodwill Ambassador for this group! We also do fund raiser performances for many rescues across the country, at home and while on tour.

When I 1st heard about 'Breed Specific' rescues, I didn't understand the need, but in time I realized that it's a very practical method, in that it places certain type dogs in homes of people specifically looking for that type dog, including mixed breed!-) They actually have waiting lists looking for these dogs... All the dogs are hosted in a foster home, until adoption... Certainly, rescue shelters perform a wonderful service, also, in that they house so many animals, and do it so well, but certainly there can never be enough shelters or rescues for all the needy creatures, so they are all important, and doing wonderful, very difficult work! Bless them all!

Best regards, Rick caran and Jilli Dog

Pros: Dogs are fostered in private homes till adoption.

Cons: Difficult task, but worth it.
