I have thermostats connected to both my corn snakes and leopard geckos Under Tank Heaters. Keeps the temperature at a perfect level once set and you don't have to worry about dangerously fluctuating temps.I've tried both of Zoo-Meds rheostats and hated them. The thermostat is definitely worth the extra cost! Just make sure you have a probe thermometer or temperature gun to set the temps properly when you first install it, and to check the temps.
