The filter made all the difference in keeping a clean tank

I use the Cascade 600 internal filter and it works very well and efficiently. I have a 15 gallon tank and every two months I break the tank down completely. In between, all that is needed is to rinse the filter out well and place back and add some biodegradable waste reducer and something to dechlorinate when the water is first changed, and you will get a longer life out of the filter. Be careful when placing it in the aquarium or terrarium that the filter is placed lying down and submerged.
