Pets vs. Companions

Something that I don't think is right is the term pet. When people talk about getting a pet, it's like they want to own one. But other animals also deserve the right to freedom just like we do. I think, that instead of calling them pets, they should be considered more as companions. You play with them, talk with them, sleep with them, but you shouldn't consider yourself as owning them. How would people like it if some other huge animal just came and took them away, and decided to own them?? read more
