Generic Entries are the result of very little information known about the animal in the first place. It is not uncommon to get a pet in and not get told anything about the animal. The last dog I got was tied to our door with a post it note that said "Rufus, vaccinated" That is ALL the information I got! I took his picture and put him on petfinder with a "generic" description (ie Rufus is a cute dog who likes to be pet, current on vaccinations, neutered, blah blah blah). He was vetted and adopted the next day. Most times we don't know enough about their personality to write fantastic descriptions. If it isn't very descriptive 9 times out of 10, they just don't know anything about the animal. Read Less
