AC facilities can't turn down animals and many have to euthanize due to space. It is not unusual for 50-100 animals to come in a day. Unless someone has actually volunteered/worked in a animal control facility they have no clue what the employees at an AC shelter have to go through. I think the worse is that they try with what they have but are critized by the public for not doing enough. Behind every animal euthanized is a person who didn't spay/neuter or care for their pet.
