It's good to hear that the state is putting laws into effect that will prohibit wild animals like these from being treated as pets. From the article, it sounds as though this woman is responsible about keeping her monkey by adding on his own living space to her home (although I don't know how natural that space is for him), and legally she should be grandfathered into the law.
