I had adopted a puppy from the Animal Control one time. We took her to the vet the same day and had all her shots taken care off, but the very next day she got terribly ill. She had distemper. The vet gave her a 50/50 chance and we decided to fight for her. It is hard to imagine, because if it wasn't for the rescue, over 300 GSD would be dead and many more would not have ever had a chance at adoption. It is always easier to criticize than to actually work hard on making things better. Unless animals are truly neglegted or mistreated, who are we to criticize? Read Less
