Yes, the Everett Animal Shelter euthanizes American Pit Bull Terriers and other bully breeds. No, they do not adopt them out. Is it their fault? Nope. Blame poor ownership. Blame the press. Blame the breeders. Blame the laws. Because of the proliferation of bad dog owners and breeders, because of all the press these breeds have gotten in the past couple of decades, the City of Everett has ordinances restricting the ways in which these dogs are kept, and prohibiting the shelter from adopting them out. How is that the shelter's fault? They still send all that they can out to other shelters and rescues... but the reality is that most other shelters and rescues are already full of these dogs.
