I had a French lop when I was younger named Bear. He was the sweetest creature and loved unconditionally. I found him a happy home with another family when I couldn't take him to college. I will never understand why people take pet ownership so lightly that they can just discard an animal after it "doesn't work out." I applaud your efforts with the midwest rabbit shelter and hope that more people will realize that pet ownership is an honor and a commitment one makes to care for another living creature.
