While compassion should be an essential quality for any president, I disagree that this issue should be brought to our current candidates. I think our future's president time should be spent on other issues - war, environment, economy, healthcare, hunger, prison reform, capital punishment, and so on.

Issue of animal welfare are hugely important, and I'm glad organizations like ZooToo are around, but frankly, in the face of all the other pressing national and global issues I think bringing this to the presidential campaign would make ZooToo look silly, and more than a little myopic. Read Less
