I did miss the first few minutes so if she did, my bad, but it would have been great if she let her audience know the multitude of ways in which they could volunteer in addition to just adopting (shelter work, fostering, supplies, etc.) If someone is not able to adopt, there are numerous other ways in which they can help and I think sometimes people don't immediately realize they can still make a difference even if they are not in a situation to adopt.
The animals from shelters may have had poor experiences which cause some behavioral issues but all dogs (and people) have something that makes them who they are...gives them their personality. It doesn't make them poor adoption candidates. It makes them unique individuals. If you've ever adopted, you know, but if you haven't, the love and loyalty you receive in return for saving their lives is indescribable. It may take patience and lots more patience but you will get so much more in return than what you have invested. Read Less
