I agree wholeheartedly. If just one of the candidates would declare that the plight of shelter animals matters, it make a difference not only for the animals, but for the candidate as well. I realize we aren't a population that is usually sought out by politicians, but securing the animal lovers vote could make a huge difference in this election. After all, as Immanual Kant said "We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals." Read Less
