I just brought Oscar home from the vets. He had his tail removed. It looks horrible, but he seems ok otherwise. We are spoiling him with all the treats he wants. I hope this takes care of the cancer. The vet is going to biopsy the stumpy end and see if there is any cancer there. If not, we should be good. If there is cancer there, I'm not sure what will be next. I don't know if she can remove any more of the tail. It's only about 1+" now. I'll keep you updated. read more

Laws restricting 'factory' breeders would reduce the number of unhomed pets and reduce the number of impulse purchases from pet stores.
Require anyone who wants to breed their pet to pay a breeding fee for each litter they produce. That money could go to that communities shelters. Also require a facility inspection for anyone breeding more than 1 litter a year.
These are relatively inexpensive solutions when compared to the cost of euthenizing and disposing of countless pets.
Please support legislation that will provide solutions to this terrible waste of life.
