For many years I had felt as if there just wasn't much hope for the animals of Washington County, Ohio. When I heard about this contest I did not think it possible for us to get into the top 20 because I honestly didn't think there would be enough people in this area that cared enough about animals to spend the time and effort to be successful in this contest. Boy was I wrong and I am so incredibly happy to admit it!! The Zootoo contest has raised such awareness about the plight of animals in our country. I can't even express in words how grateful I am that there are people in the world like Richard of Zootoo who care so deeply for animals in need. It is amazing what can be accomplished when pure and simple love is the main motivating factor. Stopping the overpopulation, abuse, neglect and abandonment of animals will always be the goal of each and every humane society in the US and that includes our HSOV. Thank you so much ZooToo for revealing to people all across the country that animals really do matter! And thanks also to my best friend, Debbie Kelley for her unsurpassed and self-sacrificing dedication to helping animals in need both at our local shelter and in the community. Read Less
