For most people holidays and spring break are joyfull times, when you work in animal shelters though you learn to dread these times. Spring break to us means lots of people traveling, and that means a huge increase of animals being surrendered. If people have failed to bond with a pet, or have an unwanted litter, holidays are the time they are most likely to dump them at the nearest shelter.
