Donating Dog's blood

I live in St. Louis and we have been suffering through the floods, and there have been a ton of news articles about the misplaced animals and the shelters needing help, etc. However, the most recent newscast that caught my eye was something I have never heard of - a dog blood bank. The St. Louis Animal Blood Bank provides blood for animals that need it in cases of emergency.
