We adopted Maya from a local pet store in April of 2005. She was the cute puppy in the window. We almost acted on impulse the moment we first saw her, but since we had a 2 year old and a baby (ended up being babies-twins!) on the way we decided we had better research the breed. Maya is a Bernese Mountain Dog. We liked everything we read about the breed, especially their temperment.
