I just wish we could get people to see that all it would take would be spaying/neutering of their pets and in a generation, perhaps shelters would not be needed for strays, only reuniting, etc. I don't understand why people won't stop their pets from reproducing - financial help is available most places, all it takes is a trip to a local vet and it would stop so much suffering!
