I know how you feel! our animal shelter wouldn't adopt to me because I have a pitbull who was at the time intact. and while sampson is now fixed i have a German shepherd who is getting into show and dog sports and is also intact. Before that they wouldn't adopt to me because I dont have a fenced in yard. Doesn't matter that I have a kennel, a huge yard, a three bedroom house, and it would have been an inside dog anyway. It really makes me mad because some of the people they adopt out to are the same or worse than the people they took these dogs from but there are perfectly good people with plenty of love and resources like my sister and I who get turned down for dumb reasons. It makes me sick. Our local shelter is pretty shady....... I just dont get it either......... Read less
