We are local residents and are very happy to have the WAHS in our area. We have been volunteers for over 30 years and are pleased to be associated with this fine shelter. The staff tries their very best in situations & we are greatful to them all. We have seen the shelter overcome many hardships and problems over the years & is still standing. We are very glad to see ZOOTOO involved and bringing us closer together in our battle to find homes and love and care for all the unwanted animals. We have been extremely glad that we found our dog Maggie at the WAHS. She was tossed out of a black van into the WAHS parking lot (like a throwaway dog) & the people in the shelter took her in and cared for her. We fostered her for one week and decided we had found her a home-with us!! I hope you decide to give our WAHS this much needed makeover so that they can continue their good work.
