I love this idea of getting the presidential candidates involved. This is an issue that both Democrats and Republicans can actually come together on! The next president should be aware of the magnitude of the problem, and willing to do something about it. We love animals in America, yet we kill millions of them for no reason! I hope the next president will pay attention to the issue and actually take steps to make a change. More support for America's shelters would be great. What would be even better is outlawing puppy mills. Puppy mills are insanely inhumane, plus they create millions of pets. Without this surplus of animals, maybe the shelters wouldn't fill up so quickly, and we wouldn't have to put down so many great animals. Come on candidates, pay attention!! Read Less
