I'm so amazed how well animals can often just accept each other- you would think we could all learn from them. My dogs were adopted on the same day from 2 different shelters, one 8 mos old the other 2 1/2 we think. From day one they accepted each one another as 'brothers' and live in harmony ever since. Md. Rejects Bill to Ban Dogs in Pickup Trucks

Those dogs would still have gone for a ride, but INSIDE the truck where it is safer for them. My dogs would NEVER ride in the back of a truck...period, law or no law. Just common sense, and taking responsibility for your animal.
