F.Y.I. AnimalFan, The average salaries according to the US. Dept. of Labor Statistics says the average yearly pay for veterinarians, nation wide, is $71,990 vs. the average yearly salary for a physician (general internist) is $173,922. Same amount of schooling, same amount of debt, and twice the amount of work. I think we expect too much from our veterinarians. We come up with these 'great programs' and we end up making them do all the work and giving credit to the convicts. Hardly fair if you ask me. I say go to plan B. Read Less
