Goodbye my precious Buddy

My Beagle, Buddy, had to be euthanized yesterday. He had a seizure, and the vet said he had pancreatic cancer; euthanizing him was the best option. How tragically sad. It does make me smile. Thank you so much for your sweet comments and for your caring. Buddy used to love stuffed animals. He would run through the house with his latest one in his mouth squeeking it continuously. Fortunately, I made a movie of it. He got to be a truly joyous little guy. We also had a game where he would try to race past me within reach as fast as he could. I would sit on the floor and try to tap him on his back as he went by me saying "touch" each time I tapped him. So, it would sound like "touch, touch, touch." You could almost hear him laughing out loud. He was so thrilled when he made it past me without a single touch. He was such a cute little guy; Beagles are like permanent little four year olds. Intellectually, I understand he's in a blissful place and all this. I just really miss him. Read less
