Gators can scale fences, so that won't help. They can also live in harmony with humans, but we do have to be sensitive to the fact that our small pets look, to the gators, like their native prey. Florida is a great place to live... I've lived in the NE, the midwest and California, and this is the closest to paradise! The wildlife here is amazing. C'mon down and visit the Everglades, you'll learn to love the gators too! Just keep the small dogs close by when you're outside. Read Less
