I'm writing to you to discuss your opinion on improving the quality of animals that could be living even at your next door. The recent show broadcasted on Oprah referring to "puppy mills" was one of the most discussing and horrifying realities that could be changed if someone like one of you makes a difference. I'm a nursing student and soon to be a nurse, i take care of many many individuals that cannot take care of themselves. Who is going to take care of a individual that can't talk or can't even run away, who speaks for them. I'm not asking to shut down the puppy mills, but why can't they be regulated. I was under the impression that animal cruelty was against the law, so how is this happening that they get to go shot a dog after they use it, we don't get to do that to humans. Dogs have the same personalities and fears and lives as humans do, why can't they be protect to some extent like we are. I am scared to my son to grow up with a world that is teaching him how to cruel and violent, because that is what this is, VIOLENT! Please make a difference, i am trying and i will continue to try, and expect to be updated by you.
I'm asking every one else in the world to do the same thing it really isn't that difficult to do.

If you go to www.mlar.com go to ADvocacy and Animal Rights link on the left and there will be a link there with your state representatives. There emails are provided or submit to their website.
