Well, on Sunday night, Gorgeous George passed away. I am upset about it. Sure he was a fish who didn't do a lot of tricks - none to be exact, but he was still a part of our family. He was a good fish. He was about 5 years old, so he had a good long life. I just hope that he is happy and swimming in a big fish bowl in the sky with all of his friends and family. We still love you Gorgeous George. read more

It is so sad that so many owners were forced to leave their pets when they evacuated. I couldn't imagine having to do that. These people and animals went through so much already. The least that rental places could do would be to let them be reunited. Also, I can't believe that local authorities just started shooting farm animals after the flooding. There were several animal groups that wanted to come in and rescue the animals. Why not call them in to help? Like it said in the article, those animals already went through so much and then you just shoot them? They weren't even given a chance to have a better life.
This situation is just sad all around. May God bless them and help all of these communities to pick up the pieces and heal from this situation. Also, to all of the animal organizations involved, God bless you and keep up the good work! Thanks. Read Less
