One of the most BASIC parts of examining an animal is having a look into their mouth. This cat was suffering for an undetermined amount of time with painful exposed roots from her missing canines. If ANYONE would have at least looked into her mouth at ANY point, they would have seen this at some point. After all, she did have her jaw wired when she was first admitted to the shelter in 2005. They emphasized that the cat we adopted was HEALTHY, and even provided us with her health records. The important part of all of this is that we love this cat, and are glad that we found her, and helped her get healthy. Read Less
