It is NOT TRUE that Senator Obama has never addressed pet issues. He HAS spoken about it on the campaign trail. He has completed the Humane Society's detailed questionnaire outlining where he stands on a variety of animal-related issues including shelters, animal cruelty, horse slaughter, ensuring pet food safety, etc... He has supported and co-sponsored animal friendly legistlation.
I understand that pundits who run debates don't ask candidates questions about pets, they're too busy worrying about jewelry and who the candidates had breakfast with 30 years ago.
