Does the responsibility lie with Craigslist, or with the person who posted the harmful hoax, or with the people who took advantage of something that was HIGHLY unlikely to be true? What a shame, and a sham. It's sad that the hoax has worked for people with poor intentions, as it's likely that others will now try the same behavior.

Maybe one of the easiest ways of changing that likelihood is to refuse to post anonymous ads at all. I know that doesn't solve all the issues, but it might deter a least some of the attempts. Read Less
