Description: Twinkie is one of the guinea pigs I adopted from Critter Corral Guinea Pig Rescue in Steger, IL. This little girl was a bit timid but loved to be snuggled. She was the only GP in my herd that didn't wheek but bit her cage bars to ask for a snack. Twinkie enjoyed the prime cage position where she got a clear view of the refrigerator door in the next room....Twinkie passed away on 7-1-09.

I moved one of her litter boxes into Rigatoni's cage. I've spent the last couple of days since then trying to reorganize my dining room. I have an armoire in there w… read more

It always hits me really hard when I lose a pet, but having the support of all of you, has helped carry me through it. My friend Carol Langford made an unbelievably beautiful video about Twinkie. It … read more

Twinkie died last night. My husband found her late last night. She was five years, seven months old and was the only baby I ever adopted. She was also my only chirper....she sang like a canary. She was a shy girl, but very, very sweet. She developed an abscess on the bridge of her nose when she was about two years old. We thought that her cage … read more
