Description: Pikachu is one of the guinea pigs I adopted from Critter Corral Guinea Pig Rescue in Steger, IL. She's one of a kind....as docile as they come & a PICKY eater.....I finally found her passion....YELLOW peppers! And, a few pumpkin seeds as a snack would suit her just fine. :-) Of course, her main diet is Oxbow GP Pellets & unlimited hay to keep her healthy & happy. Pokemon's Pikachu has a lightning bolt for a tail whereas this little Pikachu has a lightning bolt marking on her forehead. :-)

When I took Pikachu in for her vet visit yesterday, I was expecting a large bill. Surprisingly, it came to only $67.00. They charged me $55.00 for my office visit and $12.00 for her antibiotic. They threw in a complimentary nail trim which saved me $17.75 and didn't charge anything extra for lancing and draining her cysts or any diagnostic fees.… read more

It was so bad, that I contacted the person who fostered her to see what she fed her. I was afraid she was going to starve. I finally tempted her with pumpkin seeds, which did the trick. Then I fed her Kaytee Fi… read more

It's 3:35 p.m. and my herd is waking up. They're all "working second shift" now... No more daytime activity for them. It's sleep the morning away and get up for dinner.:-) I cleaned cages and did piggy pedicures early this morning so they are all nice and clean and pretty. It was easy because they were all groggy and didn't fuss at all. They… read more
