Curly Fry

Pet War Standings: 1 wins | 4 losses | rank: 98753

Nicknames: Old Spice, Queen Bee

Description: Curly Fry (along with her cagemate Oreo Blizzard) is a sponsored senior I took in from the Critter Corral Guinea Pig Rescue in Steger, IL. Knowing she's up in years, we nicknamed her "Old Spice" since we figured she could give the other gals a run for their money. She's a feisty little girl; no petting while she eats her dinner or she'll kick with her hind legs. She does like to be held, though, and we marvel at the muffin tops she's developed from her very healthy eating habits. :-)

girls just gotta have fun.....

This morning it was sunny, warm and beautiful. As the afternoon progressed, the sky clouded over and the rain began to fall. Perfect sleeping weather, piggy style. My whole herd was sound asleep... so I thought. I was cleaning up in the kitchen and the "suggestion" of an afternoon morsel must have gotten the best of Pikachu and Curly Fry bec… read more

My sister and her husband visited us this evening. They're from MI and were in town for a seminar. When they got here, she immediately noticed the guinea pigs. It's been a few years since she's visited, so she ran right over to take a look at who was in each of the cages. She asked to pick up Pikachu and held her for awhile. I offered her … read more

I was worried about Curly Fry

It's only been one day since Truffles has been gone but it's amazing what an impact her absence has on the rest of my herd. It's been quiet....REALLY QUIET..... very few wheeks or demands for food or any commotion whatsoever. They know something is different.... When Oreo passed, I had him out of his cage so Curly never knew what happened to h… read more

I was up late last night and up really late this morning. I watched Doctor Who (my favorite show) and some other program that caught my interest.... I checked the pigs around 1:00 a.m. There was Curly Fry all tucked in between Truffles and the corner. I heard the commotion earlier as she tried to worm her way into the "good" spot. It was d… read more

What will work in this cage?

Is this total comfort ?

I use fleece as bedding for all of my guinea pigs, but I've found that since Truffles is such a slow mover now, her back end is getting very soiled from her urine and droppings. She ends up laying in it and I can tell that annoys Curly. What ends up happening is, Curly feels compelled to clean Truffles. That's fine up to a point, but I find it gr… read more
