Description: Curly Fry (along with her cagemate Oreo Blizzard) is a sponsored senior I took in from the Critter Corral Guinea Pig Rescue in Steger, IL. Knowing she's up in years, we nicknamed her "Old Spice" since we figured she could give the other gals a run for their money. She's a feisty little girl; no petting while she eats her dinner or she'll kick with her hind legs. She does like to be held, though, and we marvel at the muffin tops she's developed from her very healthy eating habits. :-)

Curly is ticked off..... She's been trying to take a nap all afternoon and as soon as she has gotten comfortable, I've bothered her.... After trying to find Thanksgiving decorations this week and being told that they are skipping it to jump right into Christmas, it made me realize that there's probably… read more

This morning it was sunny, warm and beautiful. As the afternoon progressed, the sky clouded over and the rain began to fall. Perfect sleeping weather, piggy style. My whole herd was sound asleep... so I thought. I was cleaning up in the kitchen and the "suggestion" of an afternoon morsel must have gotten the best of Pikachu and Curly Fry bec… read more

My sister and her husband visited us this evening. They're from MI and were in town for a seminar. When they got here, she immediately noticed the guinea pigs. It's been a few years since she's visited, so she ran right over to take a look at who was in each of the cages. She asked to pick up Pikachu and held her for awhile. I offered her … read more
