Description: Akane is a feisty little ACDx who likes to make the world think she's larger than really is. In reality, she's a very insecure, fearful dog who depends on her mom and brother, Miki, to keep her grounded. Unfortunately, Akane shows her fear by trying to "whup" other dogs in her territory or breathing space...she's not exactly the hostess with the mostest unless you mean hostess with most fights under her belt!

Amazingly, the dogs were all wonderfully well-behaved last night despite the excitement of the weekend. Then again they'd probably gotten out some of their fussiness as excitement when Paul visited Saturday night. It's relatively easy for me to get fecal samples from the dogs, provided I remember the little sample contai… read more

Miki ended up tagging along for Akane's vet visit, mainly because I couldn't get her out from underneath my bed until I put a leash on him. Unfortunately, Miki decided to wig out a little once we got to the vet clinic, which didn't help Akane's state of mind at all. Amazingly, she didn't snap at the clinic cat who dared to saunter by as we checke… read more
