I had stopped into the shelter late one afternoon and the Humane Officer said, "do you want another puppy to take care of"; I had just returned 8 puppies from foster. I said "NO" but had to look anyhow. There in a towel was the sadest thing I ever saw; she was 1 lb 8 oz and her eyes were infected shut; about 7 wks old. I understand what you are saying about all the points we are getting and I stopped adding to the points awhile ago myself. Just let me tell you why we are still getting points; we are trying very hard to make the public aware of our little shelter, believe it or not so many people right around the corner will say "where are you located". Until zootoo we tried all different venues to get people to notice us and help us; we get nothing from the state, county or local communities. We operate on what people donate for food and what donation they give of money. We hold a lot of fund raisers and we have a volunteer who has been writing grants for us which has helped a lot. We are not trying to get more points on purpose people are just becoming aware of us; actually we asked people to give points to another local shelter in our area The Western Pa Humane Society and I gave them a lot of helpful vote points last week. So that is our story and hopefully you will hear a lot more about us when zootoo decides who get what. I hope you are included in the winnings and that it helps your shelter get the attention you need also. We all need things, every single shelter that has registered is probably in need of help; I wish they could help all of them.
Thanks for listening.

Great job but stop with the points!
