For our shelter, as it would be for all shelters across the country, this makeover would be a dream come true. We are all striving to provide the best care for our wonderful animals. I would like to see our shelter win this makeover so that we would have more room to house and care for the 5000 plus animals that come through our doors every year. I am the volunteer coordinator for HSOP and there certainly must have been some misunderstanding. We DO NOT EVER set up appointments for people to come to volunteer. In order to volunteer you must fill out a volunteer application. You are then notified of our orientation. Once you have completed the training and orientation then you can start volunteering at our shelter. I would also like to say that our staff is very dedicated to our animals.
