This is another reason why I encourage people to let their dogs sleep on their bed with them. If Tripod would have been in a crate, or gated in another room, this poor couple may not have made it out in time. Especially since the article says that the fire started in their room. Our dogs sleep with us, and I know that they'd alert us immediately of there were a fire, or other emergency. I'm praying that this couple receives a house as a gift from some kind philanthropist, they sure deserve one. :o) Read Less
