We were so lucky - some out-of-town people showed up one day, asked for a tour, loved Arlene our office manager and ended up donating enough money to purchase the commercial washer and dryer that we currently have. We had no idea that they were considerin… Read More
We were so lucky - some out-of-town people showed up one day, asked for a tour, loved Arlene our office manager and ended up donating enough money to purchase the commercial washer and dryer that we currently have. We had no idea that they were considering such a large gift and they really appreciated the way Arlene took the time out of her busy day to walk them around and answer their questions. It was a good lesson for the staff - you just never know who might be a potential donor.
We were in the same situation with old broken down washers and dryers. It was on our wish list for years and since we survive on the generosity of others (no government funding) there was no way we would have ever been able to afford the new equipment. Good luck to you and your Shelter - you never know who will walk through the door next. Read Less
