Many people in this community are very devoted to the animal shelter. It is a no kill shelter that runs a small thrift store, has fundraisers and asks for donations in order to keep going. Without these people many animals would be out on the streets where they would suffer or be picked up by Animal Control who euthanizes those not claimed by a certain date.
