When my first poodle developed heart trouble, it was either pay $1.00/can for dog food or make my own. I took rice, ground turkey and peas and carrots, (1/3 of each) enough water for the rice plus an additional cup. Put it all in a crock pot and let it cook all day long. I would freeze the food in 1 lb margarine tubs and both dogs just loved it! Read less
