I have an electric fence and my neighbors love it. The people who walk down my street have come to know the neighborhood and where the dogs are. They do not flinch when my dog is in the yard barking because she has never gotten out. Some will talk to her some ignore her. I am sorry for the negative experience that you had with your neighbors fence but that is one situation. All underground fences should not be disregarded because of one experience. Read Less
