I have looked at the wood cages in the cat pen today and how the chicken wire can trap feces. We need to seal the wooden shelves with plexi glass and we need to silicone the cat runs at the base where the boards are not touching the floor completely and where the chicken wire meets the boards.

I have volunteered at LHS for more than 1/2 year now and I am a witness to your high standards of maintenance and cleaning at the shelter. I am also a witness to your love and devotion to the shelter animals. Tiggy would not want you to feel bad, he would want us to learn from this and move on.

How many thousands of cats has your dedication saved over the last 2 years? Not only do you rescue them from euthanization from the Animal Control Office, you provide them with shelter, get them the medical attention they need, have them spayed/neutered and find them good, loving homes. I believe every shelter has problems with outbreaks of parvo, calci (the new strain especially) of toxo, of fiv, fip, ringworm and so on. That's just what happens in a facility that houses numerous cats.

I know it was such a sad day for all of us, but we can take this experience, learn from it and move forward. Your promise to Tiggy is wonderful and I know you, you will keep it.

Hi Natalie. I know that your cats have played in boxes before! :). Do a product search on boxes and you can actually review them! Have you ever used Special Kitty from Wal-mart? The easiest way I have found to do a product search is to:
Highlight "Pet Products" at top menu
Select "Browse Products"
Click "Add Product" tab
In Product name: Special Kitty
Select Cats>Food>Canned Food

Go back and repeat except select
Cats>Food>Canned
for more options

You can do this with any brand item like Friskies, Hartz, Pet Meow, Old Roy, Whiskas, Safari, Pounce, Bio Spot, Sergeants, Best of Breed, Richell, LeBristo, Purina, Petmate, Cats Rule, Kong Dr., Paw Pals, Blitz, 9 Lives.

Take note of what you have used before when you visit Wal-mart and other stores.

Also, if you have ever dealt with Bryan Animal Caregivers or the Spay Neuter Alliance and Clinic those are under Service Reviews. The A.K.C and the C.K.C. are also listed. Anderson Feed is also listed if you have ever used their services.
Tractor Supply if you haves shopped their Jesup store and Petsmart as well.

Dawn dish soap is also listed. As well, if you subscribe to pet magazines such as Jeffers, Country Supply and Dr. Fosters. Use the "add product feature", type in Jeffers and select Dog>Magazines>Trade Publications and then select jeffers.com

For generic toys you have used for your cats:
Select "Pet Products" "Product Browser". In the next window,
