Our shelter works heavily w/ rescues and this year we have already sent 440 animals to various rescues across the United States. W/out this, I couldn't imagine how many we would have to euthanize, because we do have a great rescue network, we are able to step in and help other shelters who need help w/ their dogs on death row! Unfortunately YES, we are seeing a lot of intakes and the reason for surrendering is due to "not being able to afford" we hear this at least 5 times per day at our shelter and sometimes more. It's s… read more
