We just moved to a new house a couple of weeks ago with a nice backyard. My cat has always been an outdoor cat so I figured he would absolutely love this new yard. But to my surprise, he is scared to go outside! He starts to walk out and then turns and runs back inside in a panic. But meanwhile, he is so hyper and antsy from being inside 100% of the time that he has become virtually impossible to live with. He is tearing up our furniture, terrorizing our fish, running laps around the house, and jumping on us when we sleep, and crying all night. He is absolutely miserable not being outside. There is no transforming this cat into an indoor cat, trust me. But we're in a catch 22 because he's too afraid to go out yet he is miserable NOT being out! Any advice would be welcomed, by the way.
